Getting started

Do I need a Planning Center account to use Urim?

Yes. Urim connects directly to your existing Planning Center account using OAuth. You'll need an active PCO subscription with at least the People app enabled.

Which Planning Center apps do I need?

Urim works with PCO People, Calendar, and Groups. If you don't have all three, the corresponding tabs will simply show empty or limited data — everything else works normally.

How long does setup take?

Under 30 seconds. Click "Get started," sign in with your Planning Center account, approve the permissions, and your dashboard is ready. No configuration, no data imports.

Can multiple staff members use Urim?

Yes. Each staff member signs in with their own Planning Center credentials. There's no user management on our end — anyone with a PCO login for your organization can access the dashboard.

Who can see what inside the dashboard?

Your subscription gives everyone in your organization access to Urim. What each person can actually see is determined entirely by their individual Planning Center permissions — Urim fetches data using each user's own PCO credentials. If someone can't see certain data in PCO, they won't see it in Urim either.

Privacy & data

Does Urim modify my Planning Center data?

Never. Urim is completely read-only. We only read your data to display it in the dashboard. We cannot and do not create, edit, or delete anything in your PCO account.

Is my church data stored on Urim's servers?

Individual member records — names, emails, phone numbers — are never stored by us. They are fetched live from Planning Center and only exist in your session. We do store daily aggregated snapshots (e.g., total member count, group count, gender and age breakdowns) in our database to power the historical trend charts. These snapshots are aggregate statistics only — no personally identifiable information about any individual congregation member is stored.

How does authentication work?

We use Planning Center's official OAuth 2.0 flow. We store a short-lived access token in a secure, encrypted session cookie — never your PCO password.

What permissions does Urim request?

We request read-only access to your Planning Center account, including People, Groups, Calendar, Registrations, Check-ins, and more. We never write to your account. You can revoke access at any time from your Planning Center account under Connected Apps.

Plans & billing

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is based on your church's active member count in Planning Center. Tiers: Starter (under 500) — $49/mo; Growth (500–1,999) — $99/mo; Community (2,000–9,999) — $199/mo; Network (10,000+) — $299/mo.

What happens when my church grows into a new tier?

If you've moved to a new tier, you'll see a notification in your dashboard and the plan will update at your next billing date — no surprise mid-cycle charges.

What is the Custom plan?

Custom is for organizations that need a tailored dashboard beyond the standard features — custom tabs, org-specific data views, and bespoke integrations. Pricing is by arrangement. Contact hello@urim.church to get started.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel at any time with no contracts or cancellation fees. You keep access through the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer discounts for smaller or non-profit churches?

We want Urim to be accessible to churches of all sizes. If pricing is a barrier, reach out at hello@urim.church and we'll work something out.

Features

How do the brand colors work?

When you log in, Urim automatically extracts the primary colors from your church's Planning Center logo and applies them throughout the dashboard. No configuration needed.

How does campus filtering work?

If your PCO account has multiple campuses, a campus selector appears in the sidebar. Selecting a campus filters the People, Events, Groups, and trend charts to show only data from that location.

How current is the data?

Member directories, events, and groups are fetched live from Planning Center on every page load. Summary statistics (active member count, group count) and trend charts are served from daily snapshots stored in our database, so they reflect yesterday's numbers at most. Some live responses are briefly cached in your browser (1–5 minutes) so navigating between tabs feels instant.
